ISOA News

Today starts the registration period for the 12th Annual ISOA Summit, October 17-19, in Washington, DC. Please go to the Summit http://isoasummit.net/, to sign up as soon as you can. The Early Bird discount ends on Friday, September 8.

We're into the dog days of summer. In baseball parlance, that is a term for the lazy, hot days of the long season. But we know that no one is just sitting around in our industry. Government agencies are busy gearing up for their end-of-fiscal-year spending, which means all of us are too!

More than 300 decision-makers from leading NGOs, UN and disaster relief agencies, global aid and development donors, heads of military and government emergency operations and private sector companies will gather at the Global Disaster Relief & Development Summit in Washington D.C. on 6-7th September to discuss how to address global development challenges and strengthen disaster resilience.

Dear Stability Industry Professionals,

Planning for the ISOA Annual Summit in October is making great progress. Your company can receive many benefits by partnering with ISOA for this signature event with the Stability Operations industry. Please contact me directly to be a sponsor and/or an exhibitor at the Summit. The official announcement will be coming out soon to open registrations.

As we gear-up to celebrate the 241st birthday of our great nation this coming week, I wanted to leave you with a few pearls.

Congratulations to the ISOA Vanguard Awards and the ISOA Achievement Awards Winners

To remind everyone about the ISOA Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 1st, we are excited to have as our keynote speaker General John Campbell, US Army (retired). General Campbell most recently served as the Commander of US Forces in Afghanistan and the Commander of the Resolute Support Mission. Please see our announcement for the details for this event. You don't want to miss this special evening event. There is still time to sign up and also for your company to be a corporate sponsor.

Your nomination for an ISOA award is due by tomorrow, Friday, April 7. Don't miss this great opportunity to be honored at the ISOA Awards Dinner on June 1st at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

Here is the webpage with the nomination instructions: stability-operations.org/events/2017/2017-isoa-achievement-awards. It is simple and straightforward. All you have to do is "tell your story" by responding to a few general questions, within a two-page document.

I know many companies are preparing to submit your ISOA Awards Nomination. As a reminder, here is the webpage with the instructions: http://stability-operations.org/events/2017/2017-isoa-achievement-awards. Please submit it directly to me, howielind@stability-operations.org, by Friday, April 7. Your award submission will be reviewed by an independent panel of three judges who each have extensive experience in stability operations.

Thank you for attending our Evening Reception/Happy Hour this past Wednesday. It was great to see you there. The Tower Club provided a wonderful venue for our large gathering. For those who couldn't make it, there will be plenty more events to attend this year. One of ISOA's main goals is to provide our corporate members (and soon-to-be members!) with one event per month that enables you the professional interaction across the entire stability operations industry - including government officials and other company leaders.
