Qatar Conference will explore government and private sector collaboration

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 10, 2025 -- The International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) is set to host its next major conference in Doha, Qatar on February 11-13, 2025. Attendees at the ISOA Qatar Conference will gain expert insights into current and upcoming U.S. Government and Qatari projects and make valuable business connections with companies from both countries.

The strong U.S.-Qatari diplomatic relationship, critical for global security, offers attractive business opportunities with the U.S. Departments of Defense and State. With its strategic location, Qatar hosts the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East and is home to United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and thousands of U.S. military personnel. At the same time, Qatar’s fast-growing, innovation-focused economy and business-friendly environment provide companies with a multitude of commercial contract opportunities across numerous sectors. With one of the highest per capita GDPs in the world, Qatar is investing heavily in its new National Development Strategy, which directs the country’s path to development. Companies engaged in stability operations with expertise in areas such as logistics, security, construction, medical services, and professional services will be in high demand to support and maintain these projects.

During the Qatar Conference, expert panels will explore innovations in sectors such as energy, communications technology, defense, healthcare, and sports. Government representatives will brief attendees on best practices for doing business in Qatar. As always, the highly anticipated Business Matchmaking Forum will offer attendees the opportunity to connect one-on-one with both industry and government representatives.

"The long-standing relationship between the U.S. and Qatar creates a positive environment for valuable business partnerships," said ISOA President and Executive Director Howard R. Lind. “Companies will benefit from learning about ambitious upcoming projects in Qatar in both the commercial and government sectors.”

Registration for the ISOA Qatar Conference is available on the ISOA website until February 9. ISOA members and non-members are encouraged to attend. Looking ahead, ISOA will lead a delegation of member companies to Taiwan in March to initiate business collaboration. ISOA's next major conference, ISOA Europe Industry Days in Germany in April, will focus on U.S. Department of Defense contracting opportunities. The May Indo-Pacific Conference in Hawaii will delve into the role of industry in closing the logistics gap for deterrence in the region. Other upcoming ISOA events include advocacy meetings with congressional representatives, webinars, networking receptions, and small business forums. A listing of events can be found on ISOA's website, stability-operations.org.
