CANCELLED

Dear Stability Operations Professional:

I regret to inform you that the ISOA Middle East Conference in Bahrain, scheduled for February 17-19, 2020, has been cancelled. The event is being cancelled for security reasons given the current state of affairs in the region, which includes threats of terrorism and warfare against Americans and westerners. This decision was given significant consideration.

ISOA, led by Mac McClelland as the head of the Middle East, Africa, and European regions, put together a great program and agenda for the Bahrain event. It is our intent to harness this momentum and expand the ISOA EUCOM/AFRICOM Conference scheduled for April 6-8, 2020, in Stuttgart Germany, to include as much as the Bahrain program as possible. The Association is working to integrate the agendas and adjust requisite logistics to account for this contingency event. We will update Bahrain Event registrants and our ISOA membership at large as we progress through the final stages of planning. We encourage all our members and especially our Bahrain sponsors and registrants to mark your calendars and attend the Stuttgart Conference. ISOA Middle East Bahrain Conference Sponsors and Registrants should direct all questions and correspondence to Mac McClelland, mmcclelland@stability-operations.org, and ISOA’s Registration Coordinator, TJ Yeates, tyeates@stability-operations.org.

We thank our Bahrain Event registrants, sponsors, panelists, and especially our keynote speakers:

  • The Honorable Justin Siberell, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • Vice Admiral James J. Malloy, U.S. Navy, Commander U.S. Naval Forces, U.S. Central Command; Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet; and Commander, Combined Maritime Forces.

ISOA conferences and events facilitate a dialog with U.S. and Allied customers, industry and regional partners in support of stability operations worldwide, providing critical services in fragile environments in an accountable, transparent, and ethical way.

I want to thank you for all you do to support U.S. and Allied Defense, Diplomatic, and Development missions globally.

I wish you all the best,

Howie Lind
ISOA President and Executive Director
