|Letter from the Chairman of the Board|
On behalf of the International Stability Operations Association, I would like to thank you for being a member and for allowing me to serve as your Chairman this year. I am truly honored and appreciate your vote of confidence as we move our organization forward, tackling the issues that impact our industry.
I would like to recognize ISOA President, Howie Lind, for his outstanding service and support to ISOA for the past two years. In a short period of time, he has helped transform the association by increasing visibility in the issues we face, and attracting new members and sponsors. As a result of his leadership, successful collaboration with members and supporting stakeholders, Howie has helped make an impact on all of us as a result of his experience, dedication, vision and action-oriented work ethic.
In addition, I would like to thank you – our current member companies, our Advisory Board members, and the Board of Directors – for the hard work, time and commitment you put into making ISOA a success. I would also like to welcome our newly elected Board members and the new companies who have recently joined ISOA.
We have an exciting year ahead and your ideas and contributions will be critical to our continued success as we transition into 2018.
Finally, I would like to thank you for attending and participating in the 12th Annual ISOA Summit. Thanks to you, the ISOA Summit was a resounding success—and featured an impressive line-up of distinguished speakers.
The Summit brought together a diverse and dynamic group of speakers and panelists that not only provided in-depth insight; but also actionable information on some of the more pressing issues we face in the stability operations space. The annual ISOA Summit provides a critical forum to discuss these issues and offers an important opportunity for the government and private sector to meet face-to-face and collaborate with one another to refine our focus and improve our contracting solutions.
ISOA would like to offer special gratitude to our keynote speakers – Speaker Newt Gingrich and Ambassador Swanee Hunt – and to all of our speakers, panelists, and moderators, many of whom were retired flag officers, ambassadors, NGO CEOs, doctors and researchers. You can check out the entire list of speakers at isoasummit.net. This stellar line up opened dialogue and enabled close collaboration among our members, top government officials, leaders in education/non-profits, and private industry.
We also would like to thank all of the sponsor organizations for their continued support and for helping make the summit a success. It is because of your participation that we are able to be such an impactful organization.
We are most appreciative of you, our members, who attended. Your presence made this event a great success, and your enthusiasm and positive spirit made our time together both productive and fun. We look forward to talking with you at our upcoming events throughout 2018. Moving into the new year, ISOA will continue to host important events, engage with policy-makers and key government agencies at all levels on issues that affect the industry every day. We hope you will be active in our events, and work with our committees and working groups to facilitate necessary dialogue among the association and those it represents, as well as among other member organizations internationally.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming ISOA events!
