COL Christopher Crary
Deputy Commander, US Army Corps of Engineers, Pacific Ocean Division
Colonel Christopher W. Crary assumed duties as the Deputy Division Commander for the Pacific Ocean Division (POD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on Aug. 1, 2022.
The Division’s mission includes engineering design, construction and real estate management for the Army in Hawaii, Army and Air Force in Alaska, and for all Department of Defense agencies in Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands. POD administers the Corps’ federal water resource development program and waters and wetlands regulatory programs in Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. POD also supports USINDOPACOM and U.S. Army Pacific’s theater security cooperation strategies, Humanitarian Assistance Program, and civil military emergency preparedness with projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining POD, COL Crary was the Commander of the Far East District, USACE. He also served as the Engineer Division Chief and Chief of Engineering Operations, Plans, and Readiness for the J44 Engineer Division at USINDOPACOM and as the Commander for the Honolulu District, USACE.
