John Freeman
Director of Operations, Amentum
John P. Freeman is a seasoned logistics and operations expert with an extensive career spanning 40 years of military service and civilian leadership roles.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Army in 2017, Mr. Freeman transitioned into a Department of the Army civilian role, where he held multiple senior supervisory logistical positions leading large-scale maintenance, supply, and logistics operations in both garrison and hostile environments. Currently John is Director – Operations for AMENTUM.
Mr. Freeman holds a master’s degree in Reverse Logistics, a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics from American Military University, and an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Central Texas Community College. His professional education includes an International Executive Certificate from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, Executive Certificate Strategic Supply Chain Management from Penn State University, is PMP certified and has attended various military-sponsored education programs, including the Senior Civilian Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.
John is an active member of multiple professional and veteran organizations, including Wounded Warriors in Action, the Purple Heart Foundation, and the Association of the United States Army. An Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Freeman continues to embody leadership, excellence, and service.
