Jon is the CEO of ReadyZoneHQ, a veteran owned small business based in Hawaii since 2013. He has over 30 years of emergency management experience leading emergency management projects conducting hundreds of workshops, training events and exercises throughout the U.S. and in a dozen countries to include support for the Department of State Consequence Management Program. He has taught courses and led workshops for senior military and civilian officials focused on humanitarian assistance and disaster response throughout the Indo-Pacific region to include in Japan, Cambodia, Nepal, Thailand and Bangladesh. He has completed hundreds of after-action reports focused on capturing critical lessons learned to improve efforts in the medical, law enforcement, emergency management and fire/hazardous materials fields for both civilian and military response communities. He is a certified emergency manager (CEM), the current president of Region 9 of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), a director on the board of the Emergency Management Professionals of Hawaii (EMP-HI), and an active volunteer leader with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves communities before, during, and after disasters.
