Kate Scanlon
Solutions Architect, Fluor
Kate Scanlon is a Solutions Architect for Fluor Corporation. She develops comprehensive logistics technical architecture, design, and blueprint solutions for Mission Solutions, National Security initiatives.
She specializes in sustainment planning and execution in austere, remote, and contested operational environments, to include island-centric and special operations.
A retired Colonel, with 28 years of service as a logistician, she has over 14 years in the Indo-Pacific theater. She has numerous years of experience as a senior Army and Joint operational and strategic planner at UNC/CFC/USFK (CJ3) and INDOPACOM Headquarters where she served as the Director Joint Logistics Operations Center (J43) and the Director, Joint Logistics Plans & Exercises (J46).
She has held a variety of command and staff positions throughout her career culminating in her assignment as the TRADOC Capability Manager, Transportation (TCM-T). In that position, she developed, staffed, and processed Joint Capabilities, Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) documents to overcome capability gaps, in the execution of Title 10 capability requirements and strategic planning guidance. These efforts led to identifying, developing and fielding of future ground and waterborne transportation capabilities and concepts in support of Joint and Army operational concepts, such as the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), the Maneuver Support Vessel – Light, Medium, and Heavy (MSV-L, MSV-M, MSV-H).
