Lee Tate
Chief, Operational Contract Support Branch, USAFRICOM J4
Mr. Tate serves as the Chief of the Operational Contract Support (OCS) Branch, AFRICOM J4, and is responsible for planning and orchestrating OCS and vendor threat mitigation (VTM) across the spectrum of military operations for all functional areas in the USAFRICOM area of responsibility. He previously served 15 years on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, developing and implementing OCS and VTM policy and doctrine. He served two combat tours in Iraq as an Army tanker, and has lived, studied, and worked in Austria, France, and Germany. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and the National Defense University Eisenhower School.
