MG Charles Lombardo

Commanding General, 2nd Infantry Division (ROK/US Combined Division)

Major General Lombardo was commissioned as an Armor Officer from Southwest Missouri State University. He began his career with the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, serving in multiple leadership positions. His key assignments include the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, JMRC in Hohenfels, serving as the Aide-de-Camp and Special Assistant to the TRADOC Commanding General, and the 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, where he deployed to Baghdad during OIF 06-08.

MG Lombardo commanded the 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment at JBLM and in Zabul, Afghanistan, and later commanded the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, deploying the brigade to Iraq and Syria. He also served as the 26th Commander of Operations Group at the National Training Center.

His joint and strategic-level assignments include serving as the Executive Officer to the Allied Land Commander (NATO) in Turkey, Deputy Commanding General – Training at the Combined Arms Center, and Director of Training, HQDA G-3/5/7.

He received his BA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Missouri State University, holds two master’s degrees, and is a graduate of SAMS.

MG Lombardo has been married to Kristy, from Hollister, Missouri for 23 years, and they have two wonderful daughters, Presley and Vivian.
